Rich's San Francisco Build

Any recent FTS? :D

So you want me to take my macro lens off? Lol. I'll see what I can do. I've been holding off on a FTS while the montis and acros have been growing in. The back portion of the tank is still meh but since you asked I will get it done :)

Daym! Those Cornbred Chalices look a 100 times better in your tank/lighting than in mine. Awesome tank and collection Rich.

Fantastic collection Rich, would also love to see an updated FTS ;) Scape is flawless!

Hi guys, and awesome setup and collection Rich.
Can you guys ID these shrooms?

Shrooms don't typically have names like zoas and chalices... YET.

Looks like a cool discoma though. Try posting in the coralimorphs sub forum though. Somebody might come up with something clever

How's this?! Just a quick iPhone shot. The tank was built and scaped to be top down. Works great for me but makes it really hard to get a good picture of what I see since I'd literally have to be on the ceiling and the light would magically have to be on it but transparent enough to take a picture through :)

Rich i set mine up the same way and its a pain to do a full tank shot and get the actually right lighting and colors of the coral

Ive tried using the Port hole, and others things as well but never can get a full shot of the tank, the best I was ever able to do was use the port hole on an angle, but still was only able to get 1/2 of the tank with a good shot.

I might try a top down video through a view box.

That might work, i even tried taking very thin lamp shade that was white but still let light thru and put that under the light with the camera thru the top just to try and break the reflection and still get the color but that just turned out dark let me know how that works as well.

i know the iphone has the ability to do the panoramic picture, u may be able to just lay that in the view finder and or something and try it that way too even tho it won't be as high quality worth a shot tho

if i come up with something ill let you know

nice gem tank u have there richie ....love that left side of the tank the pieces on the sand bed

While that is a good section my favorite is the middle with the shrooms. Unfortunately you can't see the fully established zoa garden on the front rock :( I got work to do tonight with the camera

I can still see some sand bed Rich:tongue:

I'm working on it. Almost all of my zoa frags have been transferred to the rock work to collaborate in the garden. The colonies that I have I'm letting cover up the sandbed to have a zoa carpet. That is being supplemented by the shrooms and chalices. I'm hoping that after another 6 months you won't be able to see the sandbed or frag plugs at all
