I use a custom made top down viewer. Very similar to the one avast makes. As far as white balance I use a custom white balance setting and then use a brand new frag plug as the reference point. Camera wise I have an old Pentax dslr (6 years old now). The lens is more important though. I have a tamron 90mm macro. Seriously a fantastic lens for everything from fish tank stuff to portraits.

Big reason was because I didn't want to buy a second kessil to get enough lighting to grow sps well in my setup. The tank was a little long for just one kessil or even just one radion so I thought I'd give t5s a try.

I run my reefbrites from 8am to 10pm. Roughly from when I leave for work until when I go to bed. Probably too long.

Then I have 4 blue+ bulbs running from noon to 7pm.
