Idk since i got it (like from the pack it self), its already not looking good unlike the other my orange ricordea tentacles are not so bubbly i thought it just needs light but here it is, 1 week later it still not better, it now detach to the rubble i glued it on. I thought posting params are pointless since its a pico reef and i do weekly water changes and my other nem and corals are looking good, but i thought you guys might want to know my lighting, its aqualighter marine nano, its 6.5 watts led made by osram

Seriously, never mind the ricordea, that thing looks terrifying. If I were in a tank with it, I'd be detaching and making a run for it too.

For the ricordea, they don't like to be glued to things. Get some rubble pieces 1 -1.5 in in the bottom of a low jar sitting on the bottom of the tank and put it in there, it will attach itself to one of the pieces, and then you can glue the rubble to the rock instead of the coral.

Sorry to hear about the Ricordea...they are by far one of my favorite corals. On another and more serious note....what in the world is that pictured with the Ricordea?

Its a brittle starfish, its going to be rehomed soon lol, but i didnt exactly glued the ricordea i glued the rubble its attached too, anyway is this a gonner :(

Hes the only that has color all of my ricordea are brown they are supposed to be steal blue ricordea but no they are brown

My bounce mushroom did the exact thing 2 days ago. It looked awful and was shriveled up like that. I put it in a cup of rock rubble and it's already recovered. Low flow low light is key. It should reatch in a few days to a couple weeks

That thing looks like one of those tire spike strips used to stop car chases.

Most mushrooms are pretty darn Rubbermaid. My rics like a little flow, but I would give it 6 weeks to recover.

Update, my ricordea is missing i dont know what happen, it was looking like a poop yesterday and now its gone, btw i was caught off guard by the lost of the r2r app geez i thought i got banned or something

Don't write him off. Seriously. It may appear randomly elsewhere in the tank in a few weeks or months.

Welcome to the wonderul world of mushrooms. I'd say about a 3rd of all the ones I've bought didn't like where I've placed them (usually the more expensive ones) and detach. Some never to be seen again. Other show up months later growing on a rock somewhere else.

Definitly looks like a crack after I zoomed in. Right from the threads to the back casing.

Edit: sorry wrong thread. Ugh. Its early.

My son and I have had mushrooms pop up months after we wrote them off.

Check low flow area or intakes.
