Ricordea Discolored

I purchased two Ricordea mushrooms online around a month ago and when both arrived they were nearly all brown. I figured it was being handled/shipping, etc and would color up, however it’s now been over 4 weeks and they remain brown. The puff up during the day and look healthy other than no color. Has anyone had this happen before?

Yes, I have. I ordered a very nice and colorful orange Yuma (at least so it looked in the photo) from a well-known reputable online vendor known for accurate photos and the shroom arrived a very pale peach-brown. I placed it with all my other colorful Rics for a few weeks and it never gained any color at all. I finally gave it to my local LFS.

I talked to the vendor and they confirmed that they had shipped the exact coral that I had ordered and they appeared genuinely to be perplexed. So apparently this is really a 'thing' that can occasionally happen.
