I don't know what happened. The ricordea somehow only left like half of it. Is it possible for hermit crabs to eat it?

Is this survivable? This is one of my favorite corals.

water parameter:
ph 8.2, po4 0.03, no3 5, KH 7, ca 460, mg 1230

I have a ricordea with hermits, and they have only walked over it and really annoyed it. It has never done anything worse than that though...

I've had my hermit crabs for 6 months and never ate a single coral. I just don't know why the ric turned out this way, all other corals are fine and the water parameters are fine.
