Just got this Ricordea. Never had one. 2 polyps on the plug, but just curious what the “protusion” on the larger polyp is. New growth?

Likely just took in something in ways if food but they also do inflate and return to normal
Very pretty specimen

Hello,

I though I could drop in another Ricordea question within this thread as I am also new to Ricordeas. @Bintis i hope you don’t min

I just got this guy on 02/20/22. It has been doing amazing very puffy and you do see it actively eating when tiny shrimp particles fall on top. However, over the past 3 days I have noticed it not become as puffy and it hasn’t really spread out as it usually does. The only change I have introduced is increased my light intensity by 15%. (Only adjusted my blue light). Thoughts on what might going on? First picture is of it tonight. Second picture was when I first got it.
Water Parameters (taken today at 9pm; over the course of the month they have been consistent to what you see below)
PH - 8.2
KH - 6.5
Ca - 448
NO3 - 15
NO2 - 0
Temp. - 77.5

any thoughts here? Recommendations?
