It was a bit more opened up yes! but not too muchIt looks to be doing ok.. I wouldn't consider it to be really closed up. Was it much more open in the tank when you purchased it?
what is the growth rate like? Or would it be easier to multiply by propagating? It is a ricordea. No bubbles on mouth tube means it is a Florida. It may get a bit more opened. It depends on your light and flow. It looks fine though. Florida ricordea looks best after it starts to multiply. Each new polyp will clump together and make a beautiful looking piece. The larger the colony the more impressive it will look.

thank you, the rock it's on is kind of small it's actually bigger than the rock if it opens all the way... would this cause it not to multiply? or open fully? It will eventually split into 2 heads, 4 heads, etc. Put some rubble rock all around it and the new heads will move onto that. A new head will also sometimes break off, tumble around the tank and attach itself to another rock. Many soft corals do this.
It took my ric's maybe a full week or so to feel fully comfortable enough to stretch open all the way.thank you, the rock it's on is kind of small it's actually bigger than the rock if it opens all the way... would this cause it not to multiply? or open fully?
