I keep seeing so many contradicting posts and information on rics, some say they are super easy and bulletproof proof and then I see people that can't keep them alive no matter what they do. Any advice, I plan to get some but my tank does have a fair bit of flow going through it so that might become a problem later

They are super easy to keep in my opinion, one of the easiest coral.

They will not tolerate extreme flow however… a little is good.

As long as your tank is mostly stable they should do just fine.

I’ve always found them easy (both Floridas and Yumas), but I know some people have difficulty with them (more so with Yumas). Sometimes certain tanks just have difficulty with corals that should do well. Whether that’s just getting a bad specimen, a parameter(s) being off, or just bad luck, sometimes it’s just a mystery. But I think most people have success with Floridas and only slightly less with Yumas.

I love my Yuma's. Mine grow slow. Before my florida got munched on, it was very large with 5 mouths. :( currently has 2.

U just explained what I came to realize recently with my tank some things just don't survive or thrive while other things do.

I had a few of them literally rolling around in my tank for months. Finally got them attached to some rubble and put on plugs over the weekend. I would say they are pretty hardy.

Baught one Yuma 3 years ago and now have about 20. They drop babies every month. I feed mine once per week with mysis shrimp or pieces of clam. The challenge is keeping the cleaner shrimp and fish from stealing the food from them. Such slow eaters. Low flow and medium light works for mine

They should do well in most established aquariums. Only way to lose it if you're starting fairly new tank or water parameters are off, hard to kill them with regular care.

I have to go hunting for mine, this morning there was just a white spot on the rock where it had been. Hope it’s in one piece somewhere…

I have these all over my tank now also. Started with 5 and now have closer to 20 (and I traded 3 for a female Melanurus wrasse). I don't direct feed them at all but I feed my fish 5 cubes of frozen daily in addition to Nori, Reef Roids once a week, Phyto & zooplankton 3 times a week and Red Sea AB+ twice a week - all via broadcast

I was looking at the ones on KP Aquatics or Gulf Ecosystem
I got a bunch of mine from reefgardener.net . Their selection varies depending on when you look.
By the way, If you want an all green one, look for ones with a purple edge. That's really nice.

The ones below are bright, but not quite this bright in reality. I used the WWC sales color filter! ;)
