I've noticed the past few days my Ricordea has seemed to raise itself. It used to sit flat on the rock and it seems to be "flowering" up.

Light and flow schedule has not changed. I am using AI Prime HD with a BRS schedule. Reason and should I be concerned it will detach off of the rock?

Also, one my small Zoa colony, the stalks are really really long. Any reason for this? Notice the others, lower, are flat.

I feel as if you have a dead spot for light in that small section of tank. Zoas, ricodea, and other corals reach out for light. Just last month my ricordea did the same, I turned up the light just a little and he’s mellowed out. If you have led’s maybe one of the diods I’d dull.

Agreed the polyps are definitely reaching for light myn did the same thing until I got my new light and the ricordea doesn’t require that much lighting so it isn’t a lighting issue

Just a guess why all of a sudden this started to happen but maybe your water has started to rings and less light was able to penetrate maybe try running some carbon to clear your water
