Hey y’all! I recieved a few rics that detached in shipment. They have only a few bits of sand particles on the foot. Can l apply cyanoacrylate directly to that foot? They’ve refused to attach to rubble in a vented container. Color is great. They’re plump. Any comments appreciated! Jeff

You can glue the sand that they’re attached to to a rock or frag plug, but I would maybe put it in a cup with sand instead of rubble, let a little more sand attach (let sit for a couple weeks), and then glue down. So long as there’s some sand thoroughly attached to the foot, you’ll be able to glue it down, if there is no sand, it’ll slime off and become detached.

They'll slime off foot attached with glue. If the sand is big enough, glue that to rock.
Option 1, Get a rock and secure the ric with a loose rubber band. Place in low flow area.
Option 2, use mesh netting like oranges come in to secure.
Option 3, place some rubble in a shot glass put ric on rubble, cover with netting
It might take up to a week for the ric to take hold.

Thanks! I’ll try that. But that plastic eyesore for two more weeks? Grrrrrr

They’ve thwarted the rubble/shot glass method for almost two weeks. Time for tough love. Thanks!
