I have a Jebao dosing pump. It is programmed to dose carbonate/bicarbonate buffer six times per day at 4-hour intervals every day.

When I look at Fusion, I can clearly see the pH spikes in the sump when dosing occurs:

So, why does the pump only dose every other day when it is programmed to does EVERY day (I did check configuration to confirm)? I find it hard to believe that carbonate dosing only causes a pH spike every other day :)

The pump does not do this for calcium or magnesium, as far as I can tell.

not sure how apex works, but I have a reefkeeper and use timers to kick off recurring activities. if the full days cycle extends past 24 hrs it will not reset and skips a day. just a guess. try setting the interval so it ends in under 24 hrs, something like every 3.75 hrs instead of 4.

Because you need to set the interval to ZERO, not to 1 day :)

99% sure thats your issue, let me know if it fixes it

OMG. That's got to be it! Helps explain calcium and magnesium fluctuations as well!

Haha exactly. The "Interval" is between days- so if you have an interval of "1" it will dose every other day! Set the interval to "0" if you want daily :)

I guess that also means I need to halve calcium and magnesium dosage once I set the interval to 0! :)

A few months back someone asked how much of each I was dosing and they were flabbergasted by the amounts I dose. Now I understand why! I'm dosing twice the normal amount every OTHER day, so my numbers look WAY high :)

I bet this will significantly help with stabilization of parameters!
