I bought an 80 gallon rimless tank second hand and it has been set up for about 5 months. This is my first rimless tank and I was unaware that some people like to use foam under the tank to prevent stress fractures. My question is am I screwed that I did not use foam? The tank sits on hardwood plywood with a felt material on top. Please let me know

That second tank is definitely not rimless...

If your stand is perfectly leveled, I think you should be ok going without foam. Foam would still be better to even out any imperfections on the surface

The felt may help. One goal of the foam is to prevent a sand grain, or small surface imperfection from becoming a stress riser in the glass. Also, wood stands are NEVER perfectly flat, however, rimless tanks are flat. The foam can even out the loading on the bottom pane to ensure that your tank isn't supported at say, only two corners, or only the middle.

If it were me? I'd go get a piece of foam and some tupperware, and get it in there. 80 gallons is a lot to see on your floor.

Yes I unfortunately agreed with you lol
Need to plan a way to empty the tank and get foam under it. Any advice?

Walmart sells large, cheap tupperware... a Siphon hose to drain and a lift pump to return the water, and there you go...
