Figured I'd share my latest build with the great folks of Reef2Reef, been reading posts for a long while, but figured I'd share some as well.  Not going to get into all the details and try to keep it as much of a photo story as possible, but please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Everything started a little over a year ago, when I removed my 12' reef that was beginning to take up too much of my time.

WOW what a first post!

Glad to have you posting and glad you decided to share your new build! Very nice! I loved the old 12ft one as well!

Beautiful tank!

Thanks!

Thanks! I really do miss the 12 footer, but as soon as I think about the maintenance, the loss feeling quickly fades. ;)

Here are some video's of the tank, the turf scrubber, and a DIY Kalk Reactor I have on the system, let's see if it lets me embed them...

Nice tank you have there, I actually like the smaller one a lot more then the larger one.

Wow that was amazing before and just as nice now..
How many gallon was the 12' tank? It looks like it was long but shallow and narrow so may less gallons... I have wanted to do a tank like that.

Also tell me more about the turf scrubber? Did you buy it or make it?

Wow. Many cherry pieces in that 60-p. Love the varieties of corals, some you don't see everyday!

Following thread because I am building a 40 breeder in a few months.

Thanks, the old one was 144x16x16, took me about 3 months to build the tank, then another 3 to finish the basement around the tank.

The turf scrubber I built using just simple PVC parts from Lowes and lit from one side via a flood light PC bulb.

Thanks, since I have limited space I really wanted every piece to be something unique. Recently gave away a number of corals that didn't make the cut.

Thanks, have a friend that is doing a 40B as well. Great tank size!

Absolutely beautiful tank! Bar is awesome too!

Thanks! Would like to setup one more tank on the opposite end of the bar, but don't want to spend the money right now...

Wow! Love what you did with the bar top and your tank is beautiful!

Beautiful!
