I'm going to get rid of my display and switch over to a frag tank because I've run out of room. My display is rimless and although the look is great I hate the water that runs down the sides everytime I work on the tank. I suspect I will be putting my hands in the frag tank more than my display so I'm thinking about getting a rimmed frag tank just to not have to clean the glass everytime...maybe a 50 gallon lowboy. I'm not a fan of rims though. What do you think? Does getting a tank with a rim make thigns much easier in terms of cleanup? ONe thing about rims is that it kind of obstructs the view?

My frag tank is rimless and the only reason I went with it is because it's easier to resell if/when I decide to get rid of it.

Other than that a tank with a rim makes maintenance easier.

There is an in between option and that would be a euro-braced tank

I have the deep blue 60 rimless frag tank. I keep the weir at it's lowest level (water about 1 1/2" below the top rim edge). Sometimes I slop if I'm careelss, but not that much of an issue.

I had the same problem with water running down the front of my tank until I bought a pair of stainless 18in tweezers . Now my hands rarely go in the frag tank
