Hello all I'll jump right in. This is the first saltwater tank I've ever done and I ended up with a 28 gallon nano cube. I had some issues with the light in the stock hood so I ended up pulling the hood and rim off and just going rimless. I got a kessil a160 for my light I'm hoping it will be sufficient for the soft and maybe lps corals. I'm going to try something easy. I also looked around for a skimmer that would fit and work well. I found an aquamaxx hob1 on sale that fits pretty well into the rear chambers and seems to be working well. I put 20 lbs of rock 20 lbs sand and a 100 watt finnex hmo heater. I have the tank cycling now and I'm trying to decide what to put in it. Here's a few pictures of the progression so far.

Probably the best scape job I have seen in the JBJ 28 gallon, looks fantastic. I had this tank and it's not easy to pull off unique and impressive scapes.

Thanks! That means a lot this is my first saltwater tank and I spent a long time looking around at other peoples tanks trying to figure out the best way to do it. I've also added 2 clownfish recently and now i just need a few more corals lol
