This might be a foolish question, but as I prepare to restock my tank and QT a number of fish....with the possibility of treating with copper.....

After treating fish with copper, do you rinse them off in say, a five gallon bucket of fresh saltwater for some time, so that you don't introduce copper into your DT? I would think right out of copper there is some found on and in the fish that could be introduced into your DT.

After QT I always place my fish in an acclimation container/bucket filled with the display tank water. Also I add a little Seachem paraguard as an extra precaution. I make sure the salinity, temp and ph are the same. I do a final inspection on the fish to make sure there are no visible issues. After a 10-15min dip in the display tank water with paragaurd in the display they go. I've never had any issues with this method. Not sure it helps much but its the way I like to do things. As for any other medications such as copper transferring over I'd say the amount is so little it would be undetectable.

^^ This; copper is found in natural seawater. So, any residual copper trapped in a fish's slime coat isn't enough to damage your corals/inverts.
