Is it okay to rinse the Hanna Salinity Checker with tap water? I know this may be a silly question but the instructions say to rinse with RODI water. I just don’t like to waste RODI if I don’t have to. Thanks!!

EDIT:

I forgot it was just the stick. I think its fine put it would oly need a ml or 2 of ro to clean it.

No vials on the salinity checker. I have been using tap since I got it a Christmas I don’t see any problems yet. If you have very hard or soft water it will leave stains on the black probes so I guess it depends on your tap quality. Hanna prefers distilled or rodi. Try and dry it well too

Thanks, for some reason I was thinking it had the vials

Just rinse with tap water, then for the final rinse, fill the cap with RODI and dip in a few times. So your "wastage" of RODI is limited to the tiny amount that fits in the cap.
