RIP Filey (that's his name) I found him on the ground dried up, I really loved him for his personality and his ability to recognize where food comes from and how to get to food (I would put food in a sort of "maze" and have him find it) He was an amazing fish who loved me as his owner but sadly I think he suffered from Fishy Depression... Ever since his Mate died he has been pacing against the glass and barely eating, His mate died 2 weeks ago, During the time without the female filefish he would pace on the glass, not eat as much, and just act depressed. I medicated his food to make sure he didn't have any IP's ad he shouldn't have since I haven't added a fish to that tank in 6 months. Right now I am wondering if it's true that Smart Fish (ex. Filefish, Triggerfish, Puffers) can suffer from a type of depression. He seemed happiest with the Female Filefish they would never leave sides and one day she just died, She was QT'd for 2 months in TTM and Hyposalinty along with Prazipro and API General Cure. She could've died from being in too much treatment but IDK

I am looking for another Filefish and I may want to try a different species... Should I get another Mimic or these guys, https://www.liveaquaria.com/divers-...-bred-whitespotted-pygmy-filefish-bonded-pair

Sorry to hear about Filey...it's never any fun losing them.
