Hi all! I just noticed my tang has a small rip in his back fin. It isn’t a white spot, it is a definite rip. He is acting perfectly normal, eating and bossing everyone else around per the norm. Swimming normally also. Have never had a ripped fin- any ideas how this could have happened? And do I just let it heal on its own? I doubt anyone is picking on him- he is the bossiest. I do have two clowns that he sometimes harassed and they would be the only ones who might try to put him in his place.

Thanks for the input!

Feed him good food and he will be fine. Even though you don’t see aggressive behavior, trust me things change when it’s lights out

Clowns can be pretty tough characters. A member posted a few months back that his clown jumped up out of the water and bit him on his eye! Keep an eye on the bite area. Be wary of any white or white-ish grey film forming on the bite. Always a good idea to have some antibiotics on hand just in case of need. Triple Sulfa or Sulfaplex work pretty good for infections from cuts, injuries.

Ummmm wow!! I believe it- I was gluing some frags the other day and my clowns were in an all out orchestrated attack on my hand! Thanks for the help!
