I have been looking for a ORA german blue polyp acro for a while now. It just so happened that riptides reef had a frag in stock. Normally, I would have bought local, but no lfs had any the last several times I went by. So with riptides reef being a sponser of my club, I ordered through them. I am glad I did!

To start, the acro was alot less than I have seen it sold for anywhere online and locally (after I ordered I found some locally). Combine the price with the free shipping (for my area), I got a really good price! Also, to help fill the box I got a goby as well. Goby was fat and happy when I opened the box.

Packaging was great, and they were quick to answer any questions.

Right now, he doesn't have a huge zoa offering, but he has in the past offered pretty nice zoas. Just never gave him a try.

Yes, I'll second Riptides as a very trustworthy dealer. I've won a few of his Ebay auctions and couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. Very fair prices, great shipping, and on top of it communication.AA++

Peace, Bryan

Hi Riptide's, and :welcome:, I have never seen a blue polyp german acro, so, :nopic: :nopic2:

Here is my new german blue polyp acro. The cleaner shrimp just can't stay out of the picture.

Thanks! I just wish I had a better spot for the acro. My tank is absolutely packed.

LOL....that was pretty funny. I especially like the "serial killer" style letter you wrote by clipping out pieces of magazines.(psycho!!) j/k Here is a pic of the acro the same day they came in. ORA frags (like all SPS frags I guess) generally come in a little faded and pale from stress. I'm thinking these will brighten up some with a little time. Sorry I didnt add a pic before.

I am not worried! It is in a less than ideal spot for me, but it will color up. Really, the color isn't bad fpr a new frag. I have had some go solid brown with only the new growth being the correct color. This one is awsome. Now, if I had 400watt halides to blast it, it would turn yellow with blue polyps. Alas, my t5's will mean a beautiful green!

Billy, you know you have made me and a good trading partner happy with this acro. She will get one of the branches (gotta have a backup!).

I figured that was how they were getting the neon yellow "lemon tort" out of these. Someone actually convinced me it was a totally seperate coral! All I use are 175w MH and actinic VHO.
