rising Alkalinty

Well any one in this hobby certainly know who Seachem is. To ask what is seachem calcium is pretty lame. Just my opinion. Google would answer in like millisecond

Thats your mistake, and to repeat it shows you didn’t learn from what was posted.

Seachem Reef Advantage calcium would have been fine to use, as would the calcium half of Seachem Reef Fusion.

Seachem Reef Calcium is a problem in this scenario, as is Seachem kalkwasser (calcium hydroxide).

So it does matter and not knowing which you used was confounding the issue.

Only one called seachem calcium.

Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium
Seachem Reef Calcium

If it is obvious to you which one it is, that’s great. It’s not obvious to anyone else.

Can you expand on this Randy? What's up with their kalk?

Nothing, but in this scenario, if it was being used as the calcium product, it would explain why alk would rise when adding calcium.
