Hello friends,

I have a Apex controller and I programmed it to shut off my return pump and my skimmer's pump when I am feeding. As a result, my pumps turn on and off a couple times a day. A friend of mine told my that it could be a risk for my pump, as they could get damaged, and it made sense to me. Do you think it is correct or is it safe to use the Apex. I love the controller and would hate to not be able to control my pumps.

Thanks,
André

Not sure how much damage is done in this process but I do the same thing. For the past four years I've turned off my pumps at feeding time and haven't had any problems
