Got the frame painted. I coated it with spray in bed liner for trucks. Just in time for it to rain. :/

At least I know it will be water proof.

Got the tank drilled. Going today to get more bed liner spray to finish up the stand. Also spray painting the back of the tank black. I hope to have it all in place with the rock and water in soon and finish out the cycle.

Looking good! I wish i would have drilled my tank with the glass holes overflow to begin with instead of this hob overflow.

So changing mind about a nem tank huh?

Full blown sps even in the sand hahaha mix that with tons of zoas for ultimate success!!!

Already digging that rock work!

Been thinking the same thing, so tagging along to check it out...

Maybe I'm missing something, but isnt your stand design putting all the weight on the screws and not the lumber?

Looking good!! Can't wait to see what you end up doing with this tank!!

The side panels are also supports. They aren't in the picture but they fit snug between the top and bottom frame.

That Pukani rock has been soaking in a bucket for almost a month. When I removed it the water was disgusting. I recommend cooking and cleaning Pukani rock before adding it to your tank to cycle. Once I got it in the tank I threw a table shrimp in the sump to get a good cycle going. After a couple of days I added some established live rock from the sump of my other tank to help get the bacteria and pod population going. I also added a couple pieces of branch live rock I've had forever to the display. I haven't even bothered testing parameters yet I know I have a long way to go.

I added some rubble pieces to my sump. I need to build a stand to raise up my skimmer and then I'll go ahead and fire it up. I don't plan on doing a lit refugium on this tank for now. I want to add lots of live rock to the sump but I'm leaving macro out for now just to see how I like it and if it's really even needed. I can always add one later if I want to.
