ritter6788's 75 gallon sps

Bummer...hopefully you can get it back to normal without any negative effects. Did you decide to let it come down on its own?

Yep. No water change. Everything still looks great. Not sure how. I've always had negative issues when my alk gets high. Tested again tonight and I'm down to 11.7 dkh. It was 14.3 yesterday. No burnt tips on my acros or anything.

Down to just over 10 dkh today. SPS look great! Actually maybe growing a bit faster. Maybe I need to keep my alk up a bit higher. :xd:

I have never been able to clams to live. Everything else does good though.

Got a big mag scraper today. Cleaned all 4 sides of my glass in just a few minutes. I'm not sure how I've gone without this tool all this time. I haven't seen my back glass in about 5 years!

There was so much coralline dust the tank was solid pink for a while and still hasn't cleared up yet.

Found a fish I've been trying to find for a while! I gave up on it a while back but decided to start searching again. I found one the next day.

Also bought a trio of captive bred Bangaii hoping to make a pair.

More pics soon.

Eating well! The damsel had a spot and was scratching so I hit the tank with a dose of copper safe. He already looks better today.

Sweet looking Wrasse!

Sure is! Big boy! My damsel tried to show him who's boss and he's been hiding in the clay pot. Feeding time came and the Wrasse came out. The damsel got a good look and didn't want anymore drama. Lol

You'll really enjoy him. Awesome personality...

Found an old dead coral frag skeleton under a rock while doing a water change yesterday. Couldn't recall what it was or from when but I flipped it over to see orange so I knew it was a monti cap and glued it down. Today it has yellow polyps. It's my old Reeftech starburst cap frag I thought died a long time ago. It's been gone for months if not a year.

It died on me and I tossed it to the bottom of the tank. It's been out of sight and light for a long time now.

You can't kill a Monti unless of course you really love it, then you know it won't survive. I have scraped and epoxied over sunset and mystic sunset Monti for over a year and then bam , there is a little patch coming back again of each. They are indestructible.

Your tank looks super

I struggle with some montis for some reason. Sunset is a weed and I have mixed success with caps. Digis are a no go. I can't keep those for anything. Thanks for the kind words. :)

That is awesome about the monti. Are the cardinals still in QT as well?

I was excited about the monti. If I can grow this one into something nice I'll be really proud. The cardinals are still in QT and doing well. I found one more fish I had to have so I'll likely remove the cardinals from QT this week and add them to the display.
