ritter6788's 75 gallon sps

Haha thanks!

I did away with the "fuge" part again. I go back and forth on if it really helps or not. It was getting nasty so I pulled it all out Just a sump and skimmer now.

Looks great my friend I am not that far away my have to come your way and snag some frags and ribs.

Everything is looking good Gabe, congrats and will be nice to see a nice mature system again I'm sure.

Cheers, Todd

:)

Thanks!

You're too kind! This is my 4th year in the hobby. I'm fortunate to have a job where I can spend plenty of time reading....some days.

Are you talking about that red war coral? It was a maricultured piece from Diver's Den. I need a new pic but you can't see any rock anymore. It was a pain when I first got it. It wouldn't color up. I switched to leds and it's now probably my nicest coral.

Thanks for the compliments. :)

Thank you!

You all are too kind!

Would you post a link of the LED's you got? i need to upgrade my lighting and love your setup!

Thanks Todd.

I don't think they make them anymore! I might be the only person in the world using these lights still. I got them from reefkoi about 4 years ago. They have 120 1 watt leds each, just blue and white.

I honestly don't know where you can get one. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when these give out.

The addition of a dedicated coral QT/frag tank has made life so much easier. I wouldn't run a reef tank without one now. I'm loving the maxspect razor over this frag tank. I'm really considering adding a couple over my display.

At what point do you feel safe to transfer your acros over from your frag to display tank. I have a qt set for my sps but don't know when is a good time to say that I have no aefw. It's been 1 to 2 months on some of the frags but iam so paranoid. No bitemarks or receding acros.

I fairly confident now that I'm dipping with Bayer and not keeping any rock, plugs or dead branches from incoming corals. As soon as I get a new coral it gets removed from the plug and dipped. Bayer kills all pests and if all the flesh is healthy there's no way to transport eggs. After a week or 2 a new coral will go in my display if I think it's ready to.

Not sure what this Acro is but I cut this frag today and was admiring it. It's hard to see in my full tank shots because my Tyree Bali Tricolor is blocking it. Looks like TDF from some pics I've seen. A lot like red planet but pink instead of red.

Let's try the video again.

I put my iPhone in a floating acrylic box and took a short video.

NICE Rack Dude ! Turned out very well Gabe, looks like it will fit quite a few frags to.
