Ritteri Anemone ID

I bought this as a ritteri anemone from aqua SD a couple months ago. Kinda looks like a long tentacle anemone to me :/

The foot is wedged pretty deep between two rocks so I can't really get a pic of it. Retteri's usually like to be on top of flat surface right? I can tell you that the upper part of the foot towards the tentacles are covered in dots.

Is foot red?
That and spotted veracue indicative of LTA, which would go to sand bed, mag would be perched high up typically, if you've had it a couple months I'd guess it's moving one direction or the other by now.
Does look like LTA to me from these pics.

The foot is a tan color. It's perched pretty high in the tank and sitting right in front of the mp40.

Its an LTA, can we see a pic from the website when you bought it?

It is not a LTA because it does not have white verrucae on the column. There got to be hundreds of non clown fish hosting anemone species, I think this is just one of those.
It is not a Magnifica either. Just because we have an anemone, it does not have have to be one of the host sea anemones.

LTA have a very bright distinct red foot, and agree does not look like a mag either, and don't see any indicators of any typical host anemone...

Do you have any anemone in the tank? Any clown fish going into this anemone?
Essentially any clown fish will go into a Magnifica. Which I don’t think this anemone is.

based on the details in the tentacles, the placement in the rockwork and the way it looks around the mouth....i would wager this is a e. quadricolor or BTA.

But Ron, I never see a BTA without at least 1 small white line radiated from the mouth. Of course there is a first time in everything. That was why I asked for a mouth picture

It's definitely not a bta. I've had many of those before. The column did show the white verrucae when I first received it but they appear to have faded away. I have 4 ocellaris clown fish in the tank and they have shown no interest in this nem. Couple of them are actually hosted by an elegance and toadstool.

its most certainly a bubble tip.

i think it strengthens the argument that the ocellaris are not interested. additionally, the little dots in the center of the shrunken tentacles are also a red flag for BTA.

Thanks for everyone's input! Maybe it is a bta... But I think it's safe to say it's not a ritteri as it was advertised. Do you guys think I should ask for some kind of compensation from the vendor?

I'd be pretty bummed myself if I paid for a mag and got a BTA, big difference, though it's a nice looking nem still, it's needs and natural match clowns are very different.
I'll be curious how they handle it.
