Hello all, I have a question/concern with my Ritteri nem. In the last week, it has protruded it's mouth, kinda like lips filled with botox(?).<<Sorry, this is the only way to describe it. Anyway, this is the 1st time it's showed any signs of stress since I aquired it in April '12. It's not roaming and still is sticky and accepts food (I believe the clowns get more than the nem). It's food is usually PE mysis twice a week. Any thoughts (yes, I know a pic would help, I'm working on that)?

Terrible pics after turning the lights back on (sorry).

Brad, is the nem attached to anything or from the pic, it looks like it's attach to the back glass? anything changes lately to make it wanna move like lighting, current, etc...

from what I've read, the first few weeks are the most crucial with Mags. I know you mentioned you've had since April of 2012 so it's been a while. so I'm really  as well. either way, keep us posted and hopefully someone with more experience with this nem will chime in.

Thanks Marvin. It is securely attached to the back. It seems ok, but just doesn't look right and is stressed I'm assuming. It's moved itself closer into the flow of a 3200 gph powerhead and the LEDs have been up since September I believe. I'm considering placing it in a qt in the DT for observation and time without clowns.

Thanks. Do you think a whole separate QT or a internal qt (modded critter cage)?

Mag is in qt (officially). Clowns aren't happy with their eggs in the background though.

Still in qt. Hard to see the mouth, but still kinda the same.

Threw the nem back in. No change, clowns just kept trying to get in.
