RKE and the net module

You can get your IP address by selecting the NET module on the head unit. Another way is by accessing your router. Your router assigns the IP addresses an will have a listing of devices connected somewhere. You can reserve a IP on the newer routers using the MAC address of the NET module. Otherwise the address is dynamic and subject to change.

Thank you guys very much for the input!

This is over my head and making me regret not just springing for the Apex from the gate.

I will have to get an IT buddy of mine over here to help and looks like I may need to purchase a router.

At least I can access the system from my laptop now without plugging in to a computer. I can also view the graphs which I guess is pretty cool.

For what it's worth well it's pretty cool to be able to access and program everything from afar I find myself only looking at mine if I am alerted to an issue via email.

You have to have a router already. It has all the capability you need. You will have to see which ddns services your router supports and choose from one of them. Most require a fee for their use, but it is not much. What the ddns service does it give you a web name such as myname.asuscomm.com. Your router will keep the service updated with the current web IP so it redirect you to your Router. then the router once set up will redirect to the NET module.

Thanks again I have a modem from Comcast my buddy is coming over to try and hook me up.
