I am trying to set up two (2) DP1's on my system. When I plug them into my RKE controlled system they don't show up in myReef. They do show up when I check their firmware individually. What am I doing wrong and how do I set them up and program them? Thanks.

Are the power supplies plugged it? Do you have the latest firmware? Only the latest firmware will control the DP1s.

They are powered and according MyReef they have the latest software. They don't show up on the head unit. Maybe my power supply isn't good. It's not warm when powered so maybe it's a brick.

What firmware do you have on your head unit? Which RKE head unit do you have? There is the original with a cap sense keypad, the Elite v2 and the Titanium. I think it requires the latest version of 3.xx firmware to access the DP1. The issue is the original RKE cannot use the 3.xx firmware.

Well that could be my issue. I have the original and can't upgrade to 3.0. But why do they show up on MyReef when I check for firmware

myReef supports them. When you are checking firmware the head unit is not connected to the SID, only the module being checked. When the head unit is hooked to the system and powered up then it all goes through the head unit.

Thanks Danny. I'll have to think about how I want to proceed.

Don't forget to contact DA support. They may be able to help with other options. You must have had the system a long time. I got mine in 2008 and it was a version 2. Do you have a lot of modues?

I bought it used but not counting the DP1's I have 14 modules.

That is quite a few modules. FYI, the Archon is compatible with most of the modules. The NET, RD1 and RKE head unit are not compatible at this time. Of course the NET is not needed since the Archon has built in network connectivity which also includes wifi along with the wired connection. The remote display's are not needed since the Archon is web based. I use an iPad to connect and control it. I can carry it where ever I am so I don't need a display at each location I have equipment controlled by the Archon. I have had one since December 2014.

Well I have to make a decision. I do have a support ticket in to DA. Maybe there will be a Black Friday sale for the Archon.
