Some pictures of when I was building and painting the stand. Blacking out the frame. The inside and outside of the skin of the stand is cement grey.

Somehow I managed to get my measurements wrong when building the stand. So I have to do some deconstructing this weekend to fit this bad boy underneath

I totally underestimated the amount of room I left for plumbing. So far everything I planned isn’t working out so I have to come up with a new approach. The size of the gatevalve and unions alone for 1.5” piping is massive. I have a few more fittings I’m waiting on in order to start plumbing the overflow. Right now I’m working on the return manifold. This is a good idea of what it will look like, only slightly longer
I also swapped out the flared return nozzles for some better flowing ones.

Wow. It’s been almost two months since my last update and a lot has happened since. My girlfriend and I moved out of an apartment in the city to a bigger condo in the burbs. It took a lot of time away from the build and it was pretty stressful. I managed not to break anything along the way though. Now that everything is settled, I get my own “man cave” or “tank room” which is a dream come true. So with that being said, let me show you a few small updates.
I have gear coming every few days and I’m hoping to have this tank filled by Christmas.
Added an MP10wqd and will be adding a second one on the other side.
I still need to finish up the return plumbing.
And got some gear delivered last night!
