Hey Guys,

I'm looking at these two skimmers, I know the R6-i is a proven skimmer and the DB6-i is the newer guy on the block. Other than a reefbuilders article I havent been able to find much on the DB6-i's. Any one have any info on the DB6-i or seen any reviews?

I'd also consider the vertex omega 150, trying to stay around $400 or so. This would be going on a 85 gallon tank, with 36 gallon sump.

Let me know what you think, I pulled the trigger on the db6 and installed mine last night. It seems to be pulling pretty good already but isn't as quiet as my 110 was, noticed water was coming in the area where the cup attaches to the body (made sure the o-ring was properly seated), and somehow some water got in the silencer so that is a bit louder right now. It's still quiet overall just not as quiet as I expected, so easy to adjust

I'm letting it break in for a bit before I get down there and start adjusting.

Great skimmer I have a rlss 6 works great on my 90 gallon. My first pump seal went one the body with in 2 months rlss sent me one in 2 days.
