I am looking for a skimmer that can do 90-100 gallons of total water with no problems.. Heavy stocked..

I'm looking at the aquamaxx em200, or the RLSS R6-I, any suggestions? I cant make my mind up between the 2.

I'd go with the RLSS R6-I. Definately has the Aquamaxx beat on this one. The L/H Intake is 960 ver 720 on the Aquamaxx.

I just installed an Aquamaxx EM300 last week for my 200 gals. It replaced an Octo SRO3000.
Great skimmer. It's very well built.
Started up right away and producing very dark skimmate.

I will give a vote for the RLSS because that's what I use. I have no experience with the Aquamaxx but I believe the RLSS beats it in 2 categories, air draw and the fact it uses the waveline dc pump. I like my R6 a lot and can say it is the best skimmer I have used.

I have the RLSS R8-i on my 90g that has 2 40g frag tanks plumed in it's a grate skimmer and would recommend it.

Have a aqua 200 pulled alot only used about 2 months. Changed tanks and sump so I have it for sale won't fit to tall. Anyone who wants to pm me please thanks.

Are you RLSS owners still happy with your choice? Any pump issues? Tweaking necessary or is it a set it and forget it skimmer..

Thanks Daniel

I own two RLSS skimmers, an 8i and a 10i, and could not be more pleased. They have both been running two years with no problems.

I am still happy with mine although mine is not the original one I had. I sold mine when I thought I was going to upgrade, when I found out the tank I was going to get wasn't going to work I was kicking myself for getting rid of the Rlss. My buddy who bought his at the same time happened to be selling his from breaking down his tank so I bought his to replace the Vertex 150 I was using, the Vertex was very nice but way louder than the Rlss and skimmed equally.

I went through the same choice between aquamaxx and RLSS. I went with the RLSS R6i on my 93g cube and I'm EXTREMELY impressed with it. The biggest factor was the DC pump. I already had a waveline DC6000 for my return so I went with another one for my skimmer. My friend also has one and we both love them.

The ONLY problem I've had was it shutting down after feed mode restart. I contacted customer service and they replied to me on a sunday with how to correct the problem. Go for it. You'll be happy you did.
