I have a RLSS R6 skimmer which has the Waveline dc 4000 pump. My pump quit on my skimmer about a week ago I have been searching online but havent found any replacement. Does anyone know of a replacement pump that will work for that skimmer or should I just cut my losses and purchase a new skimmer and trash that RLSS Skimmer. I am hoping there are answers out there and I dont have to trash it because it was a great skimmer. My tank is fine no losses yet but I am running out of time.

As long as the pump is not inside the skimmer I see no reason why a similar sized dc pump would not work.

pump is inside the skimmer that's the kicker

IIRC its based on a jebao DC series 4000 pump. My pops had one of those skimmers until a few years ago.
I purchased the Jebao DCT 4000 pump which fits inside the skimmer but it's a threaded intake on the front of the pump and the waveline dc4000 is a slip front intake so thats the problem unless i just take a chance and use my drimmel tool and gring out the thread about a half inch inside the intake of the pump which I was hesitant to do but it if comes to that I will order another one and just chance it

Its a conundrum for sure. Jebao used to make a pump for skimmers and it was a older 4000 series. I don't see them around anymore for sale. I know I replaced it with one of those back in like 2016 or something like that.

Id try this one... But at that price your almost halfway to another skimmer.

My pops setup, I went to a used simplicity skimmer, it worked out good.

Did the old impeller from the Waveline work or did you find another pinwheel impeller that worked? I need to replace mine. I know the Jebao 6000 also has the same footprint as the 4000 as that is what Daniel from RLSS had suggested a few years ago to others.
