I recently got a nickel size piece of over growth of this off of somebody’s frag rack. I was wondering what kind of light and flow you guys are keeping it under. It has some decent color for what it is but looking to make it start some vertical growth soon.

Name of the coral?
Maybe a better photo?

I just ask these questions so I might help, but also to 'bump' your post!

Yes, it has a similar color palette to ORA Red Planet and Tierra Del Fuego. Under high light it will get much brighter than these two corals in my experience, so high light is definitely recommended for this piece.

As far as getting the encrusting piece to branch out it'll likely need to encrust a bit more first. High flow, high light, and just wait it out.
