Hi all.

Just moved in to a brand new house and the water is harder than Schwarzenegger!

I would like an RO feed to my tap (in the utility room) and then an RODI feed to my top up tank on the aquarium in the dining room (adjacent to the utility).

I also want to automate production and I have a GHL controller.

I planned to have solenoids on the plug bag and have them turn on and off according to float switches in the top up tank.
Can I just fit one of those pressure cylinders before the solenoids or is there a more intelligent way to plumb this up?

I need RO water for the coffee machine/kettle etc and fresh water to top up the tank automatically.

Generally you wouldn't use solenoids unless you wanted to shut off the water supply remotely or electronically. Plumb a dedicated faucet for RO and standard float valve for the tank RODI.

I want to have an automatic flush valve. When the float switch activates the solenoid it flushed the first bit of RO water away.

I’m in the UK so can’t get BRS stuff sadly. Need to make my own flush valve. I’ve got a GHL controller so I can plug it in to that. That way I can set a custom timer for the flush.
