I installed a booster pump today and was curious how long before it builds pressure. Aquatec 8800.

I still don't have RO flowing. Its been the biggest PIA trying to get the ro working.

A booster pump adds pressure as soon as it it turned on.
Sounds like you may have the Unit plumbed incorrectly.
Are you getting waste water at least?
Even at lower pressures, you should be getting SOMETHING out of the RO line.

Its not getting past the pump no discharge pressurw

Definitely something wrong then.
The inlet water should go booster, carbon/sediment filter, RO membrane and out. You should also have some sort of diverter for waste water. If you are getting nothing out of the clean RO line something is definitely amiss.
Do you have the schematic of how it's supposed to be plumbed to reference?

If your water is turned on and flowing to the pump and the pump has power, My guesses are
Its either a bad pump. Its plumbed back wards. The pressure adjustment screw is so far in that its blocking the flow. ( i dont know if this is even possible)

I just installed one of those exact pumps. Works awesome. 80psi. Do you have 20 psi to the pump?

As suggested above, I think you have it plumbed backwards. I have a 6800 and just looked at the pump head. The flow path is left to right as you look front on at the pump head. Looking at your photo, you have it the other way round. They are a pretty reliable pump. I've bought thousands over the years.

Yep plumbed backwards. I got it ironed out. Production is better but still not on par with 100gpd. I think I might have a bad membrane. Pump is awesome though.
