Had my ro buddie 4 stage ro - di unit for about a month now I just got a TDS meter to read what it was and it’s coming out to 18PPM I haven’t gotten the chance to test my city water yet but I will in a bout a hour and half. I’ve read here where using older Containers or just some that had been dirty or debri in them could cause a fluctuation in TDS ppm readings. Does anyone have this unit did you change the membrane ? I’m at lost what to do my tank is growing some Dino / cyno this week after using the unit / water for about a month or so making my own water fritz salt blue box and using the water for top Off

- Check to make sure the TDS probe is properly installed
- Did you check the reading immediately after turning on the tester because leftover water in the RO system will have some TDS buildup due to it sitting around.
- I know you had it for a month but it depends on how much water you run through it not how long you've had it.
-Test TDS coming In vs. Out like you said, could be very very dirty water.
- check ti make sure all membranes and resins are installed correctly and resin(if color changing) has changed colors or not, if so you may want to change the resin, I hear a lot of people getting a 2nd membrane unit for better results as well.
- after checking all your lines and proper installation and maintenance/refilling resin and what not and you still get a high TDS read, bring some water to a LFS to see if they can test the TDS to see if your sensor is broken.
-If all else fails you may have a faulty unit that's leeching some water through it all.

So I measured my TDS from tap and was reading 237PPM I turned on my RODI unit and put it in a clean paper up and it then read 1ppm … so I’m not sure what’s happening but I’m going to try and get a clean new bucket today to retest in
