Hello everyone
I always wondered if RO Buddi +DI removes silicates from tap water, so I bought a test kit to find the answer myself since couldnt find a solid answer on the web.

Just in the case if someone was wondering like me if RO BUDDIE +DI removes silicates from the tap water, i have the answer.

!!!!PLEASE NOTE: I have done as instructed and tested 3 times for consistency per Salifert Test Kit for Silicate
everyone's tap water differ and also water pressure etc... this is informational, your test may be different.

So enough with all disclaimers.

My Tap water tested 2.5 PPM

After Ro Buddie +DI filteration my Silicates were undetectable, safe to say that for me it removes silicates,

Hope this helps someone.

And that answer is?

Those ro buddies and twist in filters are not very good. Filters do not last long at all even the ro membrane. I had a twist in as my first rodi and still got tds after it and would not recommend one. I went with a brs 7 stage and could not be happier, your water you start with is only as good as your tank water.

Couldnt agree with you more, but thats not why i created this thread, its only informational and if anyone has the question of if does or not just wanted to shed some light in it.

What does a 7 Stage cost these days??

I have the 200gpd and added the booster pump as well I think it retails for around $400 for the 7 stage and about another $100 for the booster pump. But I have a guy who I buy all my equipment from who saves me $$$ I paid $325 I think. I can say I get xr30 g5 radions for $750 each. Imo well worth it for the amount we have invested in our tanks.
