Ro Buddie RO/DI System

I could not get anywhere near 400G with an RO buddie, 200 if I was lucky. They have changed them some since I owned one, but I would not be looking at anywhere near 400G gallons.

Yes BRS is Bulk Reef Supply, I got a great deal on their 4 stage water saver plus unit. Which it seems they no longer make as I could not find it on their website.

I would imagine with this pandemic going on, a lot of vendors have low stock of a lot of stuff.
Do you use well water?

Hawk, thank you for the picture! Because I am also trying to figure out how I am going to set this thing up. It appears you just run it laying it out on the top of your counter hooked up to the faucet and a bucket? I hate to mount it underneath my kitchen sink because it will take room. The laundry room or garage will take a major expenditure in plumbing. Which model is this and how long do the cartridges last? I have a 29 gallon and want to buy the most economical thing even it is a bigger unit. This compares to spending a fortune on cartridges for the cheap printers vs buying a small LaserJet! What do you advise?

Yeah when I need to use it, I just set it out on the counter. When its not in use I store it under the cabinet under the sink. Mine is the 50 gallon 4 stage. Ive had it since November 2019, and I used it first to fill up my whole 40 gallon tank. After thats Ive made about 20 or so more gallons from it. I have a handheld TDS meter and it still reads 0, but I can see the color changing DI resin looks like its almost all changed color from blue to brown, which means its time to replace that pretty soon. I think the other filters are listed as good for 6 months, and RO membrain is like a year I think. Im gonna to replace mine at 6 months and year to be safe just in case. I got mine from Amazon, here is the link to the one I have. Amazon RO Buddie

Edit: It makes about 3 gallons every hour.

I love the RO buddie, I bought mine on amazon with the DI resin for $60. I mounted that under my sink and I also upgraded it a tad bit, I ordered the drain saddle and supply water adapter to work under my sink. I also added a membrane flush valve and aquatic life also sells an auto shut off float valve kit on amazon for $20ish. It takes about 3/4 of a day to fill up my 32 gallon brute which is fine for me I don’t really care to wait.
