Ro/di accessory?

What exactly is this? I got it with a setup I purchased not long ago. I'm assuming it's for the ro/di unit that came with it.

Looks like a pressure switch for use as an ATO

Avast Marine uses them in there ATO setups, looks like yours triggers a valve instead of an outlet.

Hey thanks Josh!! The previous owner had the unit hooked up directly to the sump where the float valve is installed, so makes sense. I will not be doing that!!

Any time! And yes that's most likely exactly how it was setup previously, good choice not plumbing it in like that
