So seeing as how my Bar exam was pushed back and I’m not allowed to go anywhere anyways, it seems like a good time to tackle some project to keep myself from going nuts at home. One thing I really loathe doing is carrying the 5 gallon buckets of RODI up flights of stairs, so I‘m thinking how I can transport that water more easily.

I’m upgrading to a better RODI unit and I’m wondering if I can use a booster pump on my product water line to create enough pressure to move it up one floor into my sump. I haven’t thought it the whole way through, but I was just curious if anyone might say “that’s not going to work because..” Any other suggestions would also be awesome. Thanks!

My tank is in my basement & so is my rodi. When I change water, all of the old water gets pumped outside by a mag pump and hose through a hole I drilled in my wall. Can you drill a hole to run a hose upstairs? Larger Mag pumps have the head pressure.
