RO/DI cartridge longevity?

Life of DI is connected to, the source water TDS, how good, the other three stages perform, mostly the membrane.
So if your membrane pulls 98-99% of the incoming TDS, then DI will last quite some time.
If it pulls 90-95%, the DI will exhaust quickly.

I just think it's a good idea to change out the carbon and sediment filters every 6 months. They are pretty inexpensive, and you will get the most out of the RO membrane that way.
The sediment filter will work better as it ages, unless you have an absolute sediment filter, a nominal filter will have some larger gaps, with use these gaps will block, helping make your filter more efficient, which in turn will help prolong the life of your carbon filter.

Thanks for the info!
