Hey guys I recently ran my system for about 30 gallons. I heard it sound like it wasn't getting trying to force water through the top part but it stopped after 30 seconds or so then today, 3 days later, I went in and noticed that the 1st chamber looks orange almost like rust. Does anyone have any idea what this is and what could have caused it also would you still use the water that was produced when this was going on. Thanks in advance

Spent need new resin. Looks like a lot of iron.

what's your pressures?
are you on well water?
Not on well water. Don't Know pressures, don't have the gauge for that, I've had for couple years with no issue and and replaced all of the cartridges 2 months ago maybe 3 months

yeah I am replacing it for sure before next use. I'd just hate to waste the mixed saltwater since I didn't see until after salt was added to the RO.

Why? If anything passed through, it could still get caught by the 2 carbon blocks, ro membrane, and then di.

Unless you have high tds, don't sweat it.

Since city they may have pumped something through to clean the pipes and need to run/ flush for 5 minutes or so from all spouts.. Usually get notice of these things. Or others have said its just time.
