So I discovered an RO/DI by Coralife: Pure flo 50 g/day 4 stage that I could have sworn I had sold and was really in a cabinet. I was in the market for a unit and was about to buy a BRS 4 stage 100 gallon per day.

This coralife unit has been sitting in a cabinet each canister full of water and hadn't been flushed in years but it was very gently used back when. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement RO membrane for it and most reviews on generic membranes state that no matter who says it's compatible they never are. The cost of 2 pre filters, a Di and the RO membrane could end up costing me the same price as a new RO with a higher rating.

Am I right in thinking these cartridges need to be replaced after so long? Is there a cheaper option to these cartridges? It's a shame that it's a 4 stage system that I may end up getting rid of.

Any thoughts?

I think your rodi now it is obsolete , maybe you do not remember if the last time flushed up the canister filters so the wise option is buy a new one just my .02cts

Are they standard 10" canisters? I would call bulkreef and see if they know anything about them, you may be able to buy a replacement filter kit for 50 and a new membrane and flow restrictor for a higher gpd membrane to go in. They also have the the membrane housing for sale seperately so you maybe able to swap that out if the rest of the kit is standard size.

I would wash and sanitize the old kit with a bleach solution, flush it, and then put in new filter if possible.
