Hi guys . Got a 5 stage ro filter . My tds coming from this is 2 ppm
Today received di add on . So I have attached every thing up and let it run for a good while . Checked the tds and it's 4ppm
So re checked the ro filter still 2 ppm
How can my tds go up while going through the di section . Do I need to leave it run some more .
Any help would be appreciated

If you added it at the final stage, it should be working fine. Got any pictures? How long did you let it run before testing? How did you test the water sample specifically?

Sounds like you may have exhausted DI resin. What exactly did you buy and where? Do has a short shelf life, especially if it is not properly vacuum sealed in mylar foil bags and stored in a cool dark place like the refrigerator. Once it is opened or allowed to dry out all bets are off.
How can you have 5 stages for RO only? All you need is one 1 micron or smaller sediment filter, one 1 micron or smaller extruded carbon block and the RO membrane, or possibly two membranes.

make sure the DI resin is packed in tight, so that no free channels can develop and allow water to run straight though the resin canister.

I bought the di off ebay . Had one of these before and it worked fine. I run it for 5 hours last night with the same outcome 4 ppm . Checked that it was all tightly packed etc .
I live in Wales. We have good water from the tap at 64 ppm.
Once it goes through the ro it's 2ppm . Then from the di it is 4ppm.
Every thing I have is brand new . I have used the ro for a week . And the di was new yesterday. Run for 5 hours .
When I first stated the di I had a reading of 154ppm . Must be a dodgy batch . All reading where taken with a new ppm meter .

Well, I can't speak for this particular vendor, but DI resin is usually black, and turns orange as it is consumed. That's the only kind I've ever used.

When you test, you should let the system run for two minutes, then collect it in a clean dry cup. Measure that sample with your TDS meter. I like to use disposable styrofoam coffee cups, since they are always clean with no chemical residue (like dish soap or spot remover that may be in a drinking glass).

M8 . I let it run for 5 hours with the same result . 2ppm from r/o . 4 ppm through d/I. I have messaged the seller and returning the item .
Thanks for ur imput guys

First of all, there is no decimal point in TDS. So it's either 2, or 002. And the numbers vary, it's not a constant number. The longer it runs, the lower the TDS usually until the resin is depleted.

Good luck!
