I have an aquatic life 4 stage 100 gal/day twist in unit. I have it hooked to a Brut can for holding and I have a t fitting to my Ato tank, both have float valves to turn off the flow when full. However I’ve noticed that the waste water continuously drains even when both tanks are full. This seems very wasteful. When I purchased the float valve kit it came with an apparatus that said to install between the RO and DI but on the aquatic life system there isn’t enough room. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas if I’m doing something wrong or if is what it is. I’m getting ready to order some new cartridges if I can solve the problem if not I would consider ordering a different unit. Thanks for all you’re help.

The piece you are referring to, does it have place for 4 tubes to go into it. If so it has to be installed. It is what shuts off water going into the membrane if no good water is coming out of the membrane.

I'm not familiar with that rodi unit but you have to install that auto shut off valve if you're using a float valve.

Yes it does have a space for 4 tubes. I would have installed it but on the aquatic life unit there is only about 1inch of tubing between the RO and di filters. The auto shut off is about 2 inches. I guess I could pop out the connecting tubing and add a longer pieces of tubing and loop it up. It would look sloppy but be functional.

I just looked up a picture of your rodi unit. I had never seen one made like that.

Yes making a loop that goes up should work fine. Even if it would fit one set of the connectors on it goes between membrane and di and the other set is between carbon and membrane.
