Hey guys!
I figured this would be a chemistry question, so posting here.
I'm picking up a BRS 5-stage RO/DI unit from a local, who happened to replace the membrane w/ a 1:1 Pentair GRO-75EN membrane
http://waterpurification.pentair.co...ownload/en/4002874-pentair-gro-rev-c-ja16.pdf
My question is there are any complications using this for reef use? I couldn't find a reason against it, but also didn't find any posts on the forums of people using them.
It appears to use a TLC membrane, and BRS/Spectrapure use TFC (thin film vs thin layer).
As said, can't see a reason it would cause any harm, but would love any input!
My city using chlorine & chloromine, so I'm replacing one of the carbon stages on the 5-stage for a chloroplus filter. So the set up will be:
1) 1 Micron Sediment
2) Chloroplus
3) Carbon
4) Membrane
6) DI
Thanks!
