I have a 4 stage water saver BRS unit. only a year old, i replace the 3 main filters once i see 1 or 2 TDS on the out side. just installed new filters ran about 8 gallons through and I'm still showing 1TDS ?

Why?

Should i replace the main membranes?

Are you seeing 1 TDS out of the RO membrane or the new DI Stage? A new DI would be putting out 000 TDS.

Also replace the sediment based on a pressure drop, replace carbon base on a chlorine breakthrough, replace membrane when rejection is below 96% and replace DI when 001 TDS.

The 3 prefilters will do nothing for TDS and you need to either change the DI resin or RO membrane

Did you run water through the system (flushing it out) before testing?

Run the unit for 10 minutes and check all readings. What is the tap, RO, and Post DI reading?

Which DI are you using?

If using a inline meter make sure that the tee is oriented properly.

BRS RO/DI kit. i also just changed the main filters we will see what happens??

Do you know your Tap, RO, and Post DI TDS readings? I haven't seen you post this at all yet. The sediment and carbon do not remove any TDS as mentioned above. Your membrane could be putting out high TDS to the DI but it would have read 000 TDS atleast at the beginning. Can you post pictures of your setup and the 3 readings of Tap, RO, and Post DI TDS?

Another thing is I actually had to run the unit for about 30mins before I got 0 tds after changing the prefilters and di.
