RO/DI-- Our Town Has Lower PSI. Need Booster ?

We live outside of our capitol city just 10 miles, so we're on the town's well.

The water quality is just fine, but the pressure was tested yesterday at 50. I bought our 5 stage RO/DI a few years ago from BRS and called them on Friday and he said we're on the minimum pressure.
I spoke with a local state reefer that said 45 to 50 is just fine. Our we or should I get the pump ?

The pump require's a minimum of 20 PSI to operate.
If we get the pump, I can get BRS's "water Saver" if we boost the PSI to 60 ?

You’ll get better production from running it about 65 or 70 psig

It's as good as you will find anywhere for the price and you get everything you need with the kit. You can always try Amazon but read the reviews carefully.

Is this the same as BRS. I think the numbers are. 8800. Don't know if the series 8852 match ?

Looks about the same except the Amazon one has a different mounting bracket. Maybe older design? I run my brs 75 GPD @ 100 psi with my booster from 45 psi w/out. Night and day difference for sure.

Increasing the pressure will increase the output. Do you need faster output?

That chart shows it very well. My town water pressure is 45 psi. My booster pump will peg the gauge on my rodi unit at 125psi, but makes the fittings leak. I turned it down to 100psi, leaks gone. You get more mileage from the di resin at the increased pressure also.

No, we have a few small tanks and I'm building a in-wall 125, so not needing fast production. I usually make up 40g or so, for water changes and the same for evaporated, so I'm ready all the time. Thanks for the graph.

Make sure you are comparing the same thing. From the pictures it looks like the Amazon product does not include as many pieces.

Have you looked at your water meter? Our system has pressure regulators at each meter. You can tweek them a bit. Never been caught.

I don't know if I've ever seen one, but I'll check. I think ours is in a corner in the basement, is yours ?

Ours are in the meter base which is in a hole in the ground with a round metal lid. Here it is because of the differences in elevation between all the homes on the system.

I think, with my system it includes a automatic Flushing, but the Spectra says it's a manual.
Do they have a different model or a upgrade part to make it auto ?
