Hi Everyone,
I have a 5 stage RO/DI unit and a friend of mine had a few extra of these (see below) and he mentioned I should put one between my membrane and DI resin. Any thoughts? would it be worth it or not.. My TDS is zero but he mentioned it might take out a few other elements.. Thanks

I don't know what that is. It's probably carbon, which you have already.

Yeah, no disrespect to your friend but that is just a carbon filter which is useless after the RO-membrane stage. All it is is carbon:

The Culligan® Total Defense Cartridge offers the most comprehensive carbon filter we currently sell for the Aqua-Cleer® Advanced Drinking Water System. ... The Culligan® Total Defense Cartridge is certified to remove contaminates that a RO cannot, such as Mercury, MTBE's, VOC's (Volatile Organic Chemical), PFOAs and PFOSs.

Thank you both and no disrespect taken at all, I was hesitant myself and thought the same but I figured let me check.. Just wasn't sure.. Thanks again!!
